Abstract
The threshold oscillation conditions are found for media with mixed no nlinear response. The possibility of cavity-free oscillation due to fr equency shirt of oscillation and pump waves in a photorefractive cryst all with initial purely local response is considered theoretically. Th e dependences of the frequency shift and wave vectors mismatch on the coupling constant are determined.
