A new grounding system for telecommunication buildings is developed wh
ich is more effective than existing systems at reducing lightning surg
e voltages and electromagnetic emission and improving immunity. In thi
s system, multiple grounds, which were previously installed separately
to reduce interference between different systems, are now integrated.
In addition, a new vertical grounding riser provides the same ground
voltage to all systems within the telecommunication building. This new
interface concept results in easier maintenance and management of the
grounding system plus greater reliability. Ongoing field tests are no
w being conducted to accurately measure the effectiveness of the syste
m and to determine its range of application.
