Abstract
The synthesis and oxidative electrochemistry of a free-radical substit uted metalloporphyrin are described. The porphyrin is prepared in four steps in good yield. Oxidation at a platinum electrode shows the mole cule undergoes five reversible one-electron transfers to a stable pent aradical.
