The dithizone primary and secondary compounds [1,2] were synthesized [
3,4,5] alongwith their first preparation [6]. The reactions of these c
ompounds have been studied in tetrahydrafuran (THF) in the presence of
triethylamine (Et3N) at room temperature. The characteristics of thes
e metal complexes have been studied on the basis of elemental analysis
, conductance, magnetic moment, IR, H-1 NMR and electronic spectral da
ta. Magnetodynamical behaviour have been observed alongwith tentative
structures.
