Abstract
In the experiments standard polyacetylene and its blends with polyviny lbutyral were used. Previously, it was shown that polyacetylene in suc h blends contain fewer defects. These studies showed, that oxidizing p rotonic acids interact similarly with standard polyacetylene and its b lends. This interaction corresponds to the classical process of doping . Interaction of polyacetylene blends with non-oxidizing protonic acid s indicate only cis-trans isomerization PA with no associated doping. The assumption is made that principal factor determining these differe nces is content of defects in polyacetylene.
