Abstract
New 3-substituted thiophene monomers have been synthesized. The substi tuent is a benzene ring having an hexyl or octyl chain in the p-positi on. These monomers have been polymerized chemically in a chloroform so lution using ferric chloride as an oxidant. The resulting polymers hav e been characterized and doped. The stability of the doped polymers ha s been tested.
