Abstract
The oxidation potential corresponding to benzene electropolymerization is greatly lowered by addition in dichloromethane of a superacid such as trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. Under these chemical conditions ele ctrochemically stable poly(p-phenylene) films are Obtained on platinum and iron electrodes.
