Bilayer film electrodes of polypyrrole and poly(3-octylthiophene) were
prepared by electrochemical polymerization of the corresponding monom
ers. The electrochemical behaviour of the electrodes in LiBF4-propylen
e carbonate solution was studied by cyclic voltammetry and impedance s
pectroscopy. The impedance data, obtained at different dc potentials,
were fitted to equivalent electrical circuits providing information ab
out charge transfer and diffusion processes across the bilayer film el
ectrodes.
