Abstract
Common problem areas in archaeological palynology include sampling, pr ocessing, counting, preservation, and interpretation. In this report, the authors present guidelines for researchers seeking pollen analyses , recommend the kinds of observations palynologists should make on the ir samples, and suggest ways of determining when samples should be con sidered invalid for paleoethnobotanical interpretations or paleoenviro nmental reconstructions.
