Abstract
Z and E alpha,beta-Difluoroallyl alcohols have been prepared from chlo rotrifluoroethylene. Epoxidation with VO(acac)2 + t-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) results in good diastereoselectivity for the Z isomer (83%).
