A NOTE ON THE ENUMERATION OF EQUIVALENCE CLASSES IN SPECTROSCOPY

In order to enumerate NMR signals and NQR spectral patterns, the numbe r of equivalence classes under group action is to be determined by mea ns of Polya's theorem in the literature. This note suggests a more str aightforward approach by using Burnside's lemma.
