Ma. Latifi, OPTIMAL ELECTRODE POTENTIAL-TIME POLICY IN A BATCH ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTOR, Hungarian journal of industrial chemistry, 21(1), 1993, pp. 39-44
In a batch electrochemical reactor involving a series of cathodic elec
trochemical reactions A <--> B <--> C, the Pontriaguine maximum (stron
g) principle is used to find the optimal electrode potential-time poli
cy, which maximizes the final concentration of the product B in a fixe
d operating time and under given constraints. The influence of the liq
uid/solid mass transfer coefficient of the initial product A was studi
ed.
