Potential-pH equilibrium diagrams are useful as a way of displaying gr
aphically the thermodynamic stabilities of the various species of an a
queous solution. The production of these diagrams from thermodynamic d
ata becomes complicated in a complex system. A general construction me
thod was worked out, which uses all the 'minimal' chemical equations c
oncerning the complex system. Potential-pH diagram for the system Cu-F
e-S-(H2O) is shown to illustrate the computerized construction method.
