N. Ene et al., INFLUENCE OF CURRENT-DENSITY ON THE CATHODIC DEPOSITION OF TI POWDER BY ELECTROREFINING IN MOLTEN ALKALI-HALIDE MIXTURES, Revue Roumaine de Chimie, 38(2), 1993, pp. 133-138
The electrorefining experiments carried out within 0.05-0A.cm-2 range
in various molten alkali chloride and alkali chloride-fluoride solvent
mixtures arid K2TiF6 solute, have evidenced the direct control of ed
on both particle size, d(m), and granulometric distribution of Ti powd
ers. A linear dependence of dm on both cd and eta was established. The
standard requirements on the chemical purity of metallic Ti powders w
ere discussed.
