Reaction of N-alpha-acetyl-L-lysine with tri-/tetra-substituted pyryli
um salts afforded the title compounds, characterized by chemical analy
sis and spectroscopic data. Such reactions may mimick the reactivity o
f epsilon-amino group of lysine (in enzymes) towards pyrylium salts.
