Vv. Sviridov et al., POLYCHROMATIC IMAGING ON THE BASIS OF COLLOIDAL SILVER PARTICLES ON HALOGEN SILVER PHOTOGRAPHIC LAYERS, Journal of Information Recording Materials, 20(4), 1993, pp. 345-357
The possibility of polychromatic imaging on the monodispersed AgHal ph
oto layers with low silver content (about 1 g/m2) is shown. The effect
is reached by treatment of the exposed layer in the developing-fixing
solution (monobath) with the thiocyanate ion as a ligand in which the
physical development via the solution is realized. The polychromatic
image consists of compact spheroidal silver particles with sizes depen
d on exposure. General regularities of formation and properties of the
image as well as the possibilities of controlling the size, shape, co
ncentration of the silver particles forming the image and, therefore,
the spectral and color characteristics of the latter one arc discussed
.
