Abstract
Bis[oxybis(methylenethio)]tetrathiafulvalene (BOBMT- TTF) and bis[thio bis(methylenethio)]-tetrathiafulvalene (BTBMT-TTF) were synthesized in two steps starting from 1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene-2,5-dione. The ele ctrochemical and donor of both compounds are discussed. BOBMT-TTF form s a highly conducting charge transfer complex with TCNQ (sigma(RT) is- approximately-equal-to 10 S cm-1).
