Abstract
The novel heterocyclic systems 5,6-dihydro-7H-1,4,2-oxathiazepin-7-one (1) and 5H-4,1,3-benzoxathiazepin-5-one (2) were prepared by the reac tion of hydroximoyl chlorides (3) with mercapto-carboxylic acids, foll owed by cyclization with 1,3-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (6) or 1-ethyl-3 -(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-carbodiimide HCl (7).
