S. Izaki et al., CARCINOSARCOMA OF THE SKIN - IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL AND ELECTRON-MICROSCOPIC OBSERVATIONS, Journal of cutaneous pathology, 20(3), 1993, pp. 272-278
A rapidly growing, hemorrhagic, exophytic tumor on the upper back of a
44-year-old male patient was investigated. Histological, immunohistoc
hemical, and electron microscopic studies revealed both basal cell car
cinoma-like and spindle cell sarcoma-like structures intermingled in t
he same tumor. Clinical consequences to this patient were mainly depen
dent on the sarcomatous element.
