Abstract
Results are presented of an experimental investigation of the reaction process for a commercial product, viz,, between magnesium polyboride and ZnCl2, by a combination of thermal analysis and heat treatment by changing the treatment time and temperature. The products formed were identified with the help of chemical and x-ray phase analyses.
