Rd. Apostolova et al., ALUMINUM-ALLOYS AS A CONSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL FOR LI-FES2 PRIMARY-CELLS, Journal of applied chemistry of the USSR, 65(7), 1992, pp. 1270-1273
The electrochemical activity of a series of aluminum alloys in the pro
pylene carbonate-diglyme-1 M lithium tetrafluoroborate electrolyte was
investigated in connection with their use as constructional material
for the Li-FeS2 primary cell. The alloys hardly differ at all from met
allic aluminum in their electrochemical activity. The rate of the elec
trochemical transformations al the aluminum alloys is an order of magn
itude lower than at nickel and stainless steel.
