Abstract
Fitting structurally on each other, the corrugated layers comprising a
lternately [Cd-Ni(CN)4]infinity and H2O molecules are stacked in cryst
als of the title compound. Two H2O molecules coordinated trans at a Cd
atom connect the layers. Six H2O molecules form a network of edge-sha
ring hexagons through hydrogen bonding; more H atoms are present here
than can be accounted for in the formation of the maximum number of hy
drogen bonds in this network.
