Rheology of wave deformation of a powdery heat-resistant octanite expl
osive under low-amplitude dynamic loading has been investigated. Featu
res of the wave profile evolution in the powdery octanite have been st
udied. The characteristics of dynamic compressibility and the critical
conditions for initiation of the chemical reaction in the heat-resist
ant explosive under investigation have been determined.
