Abstract
A fast and sensitive photokinetic method for the determination of thio nine, azur B, azur C, new methylen blue, thionine blue, and toluidine blue is described. It is based on the rate of photoreduction of thiazi nic dyes by EDTA. The rate is monitored spectrophotemetrically by form ation of ferroine which is generated after reduction of Fe (III) to Fe (II) by the leucodye in the presence of 1,10-phenantroline. The metho d is simple, rapid and sensitive.
