Abstract
The conversion of ethylene on phosphoric acid at 170-250-degrees-C (P2 O5 concentration 72-85%) was studied. The conversion of ethylene proce eds chiefly with the participation of polyphosphoric acids, which are the active components in oligomerization and redistribution of hydroge n. Isobutane and isopentane are formed as the main products.
