Operators of power stations work in an environment which does not make
the management task ''safety'' easier. Availability and supply safety
are considered by industry and the population basically as given - th
e expectation attitude is correspondingly high. Power station operator
s serve further-on frequently as prototype for a law-abiding and envir
onment-protection-oriented production availability - and are therefore
with all activities under public discussion. The decision on the orga
nization, the kind and extent of the organizing as well as the technic
al measures for safety is therefore - and with regard to the primate o
f cost-effectiveness - complex and requires integral initial stages.
