Abstract
The electrochemical ferro-ferricyanide technique was used to study the influence of seventeen screen-type separators on mass transport in na rrow flat channels. The experimental data were generalized by a system of empirical equations of the type of Sh = Sh(Re. Sc) describing the laminar and turbulent flow mode in channels with developing and fully developed diffusion layers.
