Abstract
With the recent advances of efficient polarizing and flipping devices and with the increase of the absolute flux at modern neutron sources, polarized neutron inelastic scattering experiments using cold and ther mal neutrons have become more commonplace. In this review paper we pre sent experiments recently performed where this technique has been appl ied to obtain more detailed informations on magnetic excitations thus contributing to a deeper understanding of the spin dynamics in magneti c materials.
