Abstract
We describe a combined cataract/glaucoma procedure for patients on chr onic miotics that includes small-incision phacoemulsification to provi de increased predictability of visual outcome and early visual rehabil itation, and an inferior pupilloplasty to facilitate intraoperative vi sualization. To date, 42 procedures have been performed with excellent results. Complications, although minimal, have included iridolenticul ar/iridocapsular adhesions, diplopia, rupture of 10-0 polypropylene su tures, peripheral anterior synechia, hyphema, and fibrinoid aqueous.
