Ternary mixed ligands metal complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) wit
h aromatic acids (phthalic and salicylic) as primary ligands and imida
zoles emidazole and 2-methylimidazole) as secondary ligands are synthe
sized and characterized making using microchemical and thermal analysi
s as well as infared, electronic spectra and electric conductance meas
urements. Formation constants of the binary and ternary complexes form
ed in such systems are determined by pH measuring equipment at t = 25
+/- 0.1-degrees-C and mu = 0.1 mole dm-3 (NaClO4). It is deduced that
the stability of the ternary complex is higher than that of the corres
ponding binary imidazole one.
