Abstract
The stereoselective synthesis of two rigid diacylglycerol analogues st arting from L-arabinose is described. The construction of the desired bicyclic bis-butyrolactone structure was accomplished via intramolecul ar radical cyclization. Both compounds (3a and 3b) showed poor binding affinity for PK-C.
