Abstract
The role of herniography in patients with unexplained pain in the groi n or anterior abdominal wall is discussed and referred to that of othe r imaging modalities. The technique of herniography, its indications a nd contraindications, and anatomical aspects are dealt with. A series of 81 patients who underwent herniography is presented and the results arc correlated with findings at surgery.
