Abstract
Each year, thousands of children suffer accidental deaths because they do not receive appropriate emergency care. The authors of this Articl e present evidence that a concerted effort by state and federal legisl ators to implement emergency medical care systems and injury preventio n programs would greatly reduce these needless deaths.
