Abstract
Techniques are presented for obtaining meaningful cultures from bulk t ank samples and clinical cases. The incidence of clinical mastitis and the types of bacteria isolated from both cows with clinical mastitis and clinically normal cows are discussed. The importance of comparison or reference values is stressed.
