MECHANICAL-BEHAVIOR OF THE SLAB DURING CONTINUOUS-CASTING

The internal health of continuous cast slabs depends especially on the intensity of deformations imposed on the product during solidificatio n : bulging deformations due to ferrostatic pressure and deformations due to geometric defects in the support system. Study of the character ization of solidified shell deformations based on a mathematical model of slab bulging on a series of support rollers and experimental study conducted on continuous caster No.23 in Sollac Dunkerque.
