Abstract
A microdrive and microelectrode costing about $2.67 is described. The assembly is lightweight, compact, and versatile and is ideal for chron ic single-unit recording from behaving rats. It is easy to assemble an d operate and has been used successfully by undergraduates in the teac hing and research laboratory.
