Abstract
Anti-hepatitis C antibodies were measured in 80 household contacts of 27 children infected with hepatitis C virus. Antibodies were demonstra ted in only one brother of an infected patient. The results suggest th at intrafamilial transmission from infected children may occur, but at a low rate.
