A. Costela et al., THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC EFFECTS IN OPTICAL-PHASE CONJUGATION IN RHODAMINE-6G SOLUTIONS WITH NANOSECOND PULSES, Optics communications, 100(5-6), 1993, pp. 536-544
Thermally induced phase conjugation by degenerate four-wave mixing in
solutions of Rhodamine 6G in ethanol in the weak absorption region, lo
w-reflectivity regime, and nanosecond time domain is reported. Evidenc
e of oscillatory acoustic modes in the nonlinear medium is presented a
nd existing theories are shown to explain satisfactorily the experimen
tal results.
