Abstract
We report synthesis of polymerized C-70 by high pressure treatment at high temperature. Evidence for crosslinking is presented on the basis of X-ray diffraction pattern, infrared absorption, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra. As was observed in C-60 polymers, C-70 ''polymer' ' is not soluble in toluene, and revert to conventional monomer crysta ls by heating to 300 degrees C at ambient pressure.
