Ka. Mohamed et L. Pap, PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF FREQUENCY-HOPPED SPREAD-SPECTRUM PACKET RADIONETWORKS .1. SLOTTED MULTIPLE-ACCESS, Journal of circuits, systems, and computers, 6(5), 1996, pp. 435-452
This paper is concerned with the performance analysis of slotted frequ
ency-hopped packet radio networks with Reed-Solomon forward error cont
rol coding. Both random and one coincidence frequency hopping patterns
are considered. A new concept of the pair-wise hit patterns and the e
ffective multiple-access interference are introduced. The joint probab
ility generating functions of these interference vectors are determine
d for both synchronous and asynchronous hopping. Closed form expressio
ns for packet capture probabilities and throughput are derived in term
s of these joint generating functions. Finally a direct proof is given
that hits in different symbols are asymptotically independent.
