Abstract
In the presence of a catalytic amount of RuCl2(PPh3)3, various alkyl N -arylcarbamates are obtained in 23-82% yields by dehydrogenative react ion of N-aryl substituted formamides with alcohols. The present reacti on offers an alternative method for phosgene- and carbon monoxide-free synthesis of carbamates.
