Sf. Noel et al., SPONTANEOUS SUBCLAVIAN ARTERY DISSECTION IN A TYPE-IV EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME, Journal des maladies vasculaires, 18(2), 1993, pp. 146-148
The authors report an unusual dissequant aneurysm of the left subclavi
an artery occuring in a patient suffering from the Ehlers-Danlos syndr
ome. Clinical history and skin biopsy permitted this diagnosis. Surgic
al treatment associated resection of the aneurysm, ligation of the pro
ximal part of the subclavian artery and a prosthetic bypass between ca
rotid and subclavian artery. Spontaneous dissequant aneurysm is a rare
disease and one must think before surgery to arterial dysplasia. Tech
nical features of the surgical treatment are discussed (J Mal Vasc, 19
93, 18, pages 146-148).
