R. Weber et al., ANALYSIS OF A FLOWING AEROSOL BY CORRELATION SPECTROSCOPY - CONCENTRATION, APERTURE, VELOCITY AND PARTICLE-SIZE EFFECTS, Journal of aerosol science, 24(4), 1993, pp. 485-499
A systematic theoretical and experimental investigation is presented o
f the effects of the particle size, velocity and number concentration
on the correlation function as well as the effect of aperture angle of
the observation optics. The experiments were carried out on particles
in the size range of 300-700 nm and at particle velocities between 0.
3 and 1.2 ms-1. Recommendations are given for favourable experimental
conditions to size monodisperse flowing aerosols by correlation spectr
oscopy.
