Abstract
We used flow-fluorimetry to establish whether age-specificity was invo lved in the interaction of bacterial cells with the gas-liquid interfa ce. The interaction of bacterial cells with the gas-liquid interface w as found to be related to their position in the division cycle, but no t in their DNA replication cycle.
