Abstract
A psychrophilic methanotrophic community was obtained from soil of the dwarf birch tundra. Its growth dynamics and methane consumption at di fferent temperatures are described. The existence of obligately psychr ophilic methanotrophic communities was demonstrated (t(min) = 3.5-degr ees-C t(max) 20-degrees-C).
