Abstract
A simple two-body-equation is presented which treats both particles re lativistically. A theorem on the decay rates of weakly decaying partic les bound in atoms is derived from a postulate of complex masses in th e QED field equations; it is evaluated for the new equation, and a pos sible extension to heavy quarkonium is mentioned.
