Abstract
Serum levels of markers - mucinoid associated antigen (MAA), carcinoem bryonal antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen (CA-19-9) were measured in 78 breast cancer patients using enzyme immunoassay. It was found t hat MAA was most reliable of the above markers in staging breast cance r. A combined study of the latter is advisable in determination of bre ast cancer dissemination, in the control over the disease course and p rognosis.
