A sample holder with pulsing, adjustable magnetic field has been devel
oped to a laser flash photolysis equipment of ns time-resolution for m
easurement of magneto-kinetic effects through transient emission and a
bsorption signals. The operation of the system was controlled by the s
tudy of the photoinduced electron transfer reaction occurring between
tris-bipyridineruthenium(II) and methylviologen cations.
