Abstract
An attempt is made to analyse the conceptual and numerical relation of the radiation weighting factor introduced in ICRP Publication 60 to s everal effective quality factors. The adoption of a set of W(R) values for neutrons different from that given in ICRP 60 is proposed in orde r to achieve a reasonable relation between the effective dose the effe ctive dose equivalent and the ambient dose equivalent.
