Abstract
This work presents an investigation of the distribution of turbulent e nergy in the river mouth and its role in the transport of the matter w ithin the flow. The experimental observations were performed in the Ri ver Jordan inflow into the Lake Kinneret. The results were generalized to formulate a conceptual model of the turbulent energy characteristi cs, specific for the river mouth. This model was extended to include t he dispersion coefficients for turbulent flow downstream the river mou th.
